Program Objectives:
Provide an enjoyable introduction and experience to the sport of hockey
Provide an healthy environment for fun and learning
Teach the basic fundamental skills of hockey
Program Details:
Program emphasizes fun and recreation while teaching the fundamentals of hockey. Players get a thorough introduction to skating, puck handling, passing, receiving, and shooting. Players learn from more than one coach, giving a variety of instruction. Ice time consists of 50 minute practices made up of drills and engaging games, concluding with a scrimmage for 15-20 minutes of play. Players are given the opportunity to participate in all drills, regardless of ability
Equipment:
Program uses blue pucks (USA Hockey Rule 306) and small goal nets. Full hockey equipment is required for all players.

Encourage players to learn, enjoy and continue to play the sport
Develop qualities important to hockey: quickness, agility, coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, and teamwork
Program Details:
The program continues to develop skills already known or completely new to young hockey players. Players develop skating, puck handling, passing, receiving, and shooting skills. Program consists of 50 minute practices made up of drills, fun games, cross ice and small game activities, and a scrimmage. The program also includes one game a week of officiated play. The ice is shared by two teams on occasion, promoting camaraderie and community.
Equipment:
Full hockey equipment is required for all players.
